How long will it take? Start to finish, how long?

Since every Pikewood Creative project is unique and absolutely custom made, it will take as long as it takes...there's no stock answer because we’re not running an assembly line. In other words, if we’re shooting a video for your Ski Resort, shooting won't begin until the snow flies. Our creative process isn't just wild brainstorming! We actually have a system for producing top quality product. If you just want someone with a camera to come to your place and wave it at your products, we'd rather you find someone else.

THE GOOD NEWS is that there are some common elements involved in each Pikewood production and we really can give you an accurate timeline after we meet to understand the scope of your project. In most cases our clients have been thrilled that we can produce a top quality product on a predictable timeline.

We get started with a phone conversation to find out what you’re looking for and whether we can fill that need. The next step involves a face-to-face meeting to begin discussing a wide range of topics on the potential project. If you want to proceed, a formal written proposal is the next step. The proposal will detail each aspect of the production and provide an initial budget range for the finished project. Although, a specific final production cost won’t be available, you will be provided with a price that the project
will NOT exceed.

Your production will be scheduled as soon as you sign your agreement. That's when we get to work on the planning. We’ll work with you to arrange interviews and all the other logistics to make sure everything goes smoothly on the day(s) of shooting.

Post-Production (that's a Hollywood term for all the stuff that happens after the actual shooting) is when we'll select music, record narration, edit video, and create graphics and animation.

We’ll contact you when a draft copy is ready for you to watch. This allows you to follow the our progress and make any changes you would like. When you've given final approval, we’ll move ahead and complete the project and begin the duplication or placement process so you can start using your finished product with your intended audience.

This system we’ve created works wonderfully because you’re along for the entire process to watch the project grow from idea to completion. By giving you the final say along the way on script, voice-over talent, graphics, and editing there are NO SURPRISES! It's a professional approach to a creative process.
