Stone Energy

Stone Energy Corporation is an independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company that is active in the Marcellus Shale area in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The Stone Energy mission is helping to develop a clean and secure U.S. energy source that contributes to energy diversity and lessens dependence on foreign energy imports.

We produced this corporate video production for Stone Energy so they could educate and inform people in regard to the benefits and challenges of horizontal drilling for Marcellus Shale in the Mid-Atlantic region.

This video production included a multitude of actual oil drilling site photography as well as custom motion graphics and 3D animation. The custom animation guides viewers through the technical steps of horizontal drilling. The video provides a look at the entire process from beginning to end and provides a high level view of how the drilling operations work.

We worked closely with the engineers and senior leadership at Stone Energy to produce the video. We did this to ensure that the accuracy and integrity of the drilling process was properly conveyed in the animation.

This kind of corporate and educational demonstrates how video helps create awareness and understanding in regard to complex topics.
